Toro Blueberry is a high-yielding, deciduous highbush blueberry variety known for its large, firm, and sweet-flavored berries. It belongs to the section Cyanococcus within the genus Vaccinium, the same botanical group that includes cranberries, bilberries, and huckleberries. Toro is a cultivated variety of Northern Highbush blueberry, originally developed for commercial production and home gardens due to its excellent fruit quality and ornamental appeal. Toro blueberry plants are upright and vigorous, typically growing between 1.2 to 1.8 meters (4 to 6 feet) in height. They produce large clusters of medium to large, light blue berries with a mild, sweet taste and smooth texture.
