J33 is a hybrid jackfruit variety developed for better yield, fruit quality, and ease of consumption. The tree is moderately vigorous and starts bearing fruits relatively early compared to traditional types. The fruits are medium to large in size, with a green, spiny outer rind. Inside, the bulbs (arils) are bright yellow, thick, and firm, making them easy to separate and handle. The flesh is sweet, crisp, and less fibrous, which gives it good eating quality. One of the important features of J33 jackfruit is its reduced latex (gum) content, so it is less sticky and easier to cut than many local varieties. Thrives in subtropical/tropical climates. Prefers full sun and well-drained fertile soil.

Planting

Dig pits 1–1.5 ft deep. Mix soil with Vermicompost. Maintain 2–3 meters spacing between plants.
