Nauclea latifolia, commonly called African Peach, is a tropical fruit-bearing shrub or small tree native to sub-Saharan Africa. It belongs to the Rubiaceae family and is widely valued for its edible fruits and traditional medicinal uses. The plant produces round, textured fruits that turn yellow, orange, or reddish when mature. Inside the fruit is a sweet aromatic pulp containing numerous tiny seeds. The tree also develops attractive spherical flower heads made up of many small fragrant flowers.
