Kwai Muk is a slow-growing, slender evergreen fruit tree native to southern China, especially the regions of Guangdong (Kwangtung) and Hong Kong. It is also known to have been introduced in limited areas such as Florida and Puerto Rico for experimental cultivation. The tree is highly appreciated as an ornamental plant due to its upright growth habit, dense rounded canopy, and long slender leaves ranging from 25–35 cm. It remains evergreen throughout the year, making it visually attractive in landscapes and gardens. The fruits are small, round to oval, with a yellow-brown color and a slightly fuzzy skin. They are harvested mainly between August and October. Although not widely commercialized, the fruit is edible and valued in its native regions. Botanical Notes Scientific Name: Artocarpus lingnanensis (commonly associated classification) Family: Moraceae Native Region: Southern China (Guangdong, Hong Kong)
