ESALQ Jaboticaba is a rare and improved variety of jaboticaba known for its good growth and consistent fruiting. It is a slow to moderate-growing evergreen tree that produces reddish young leaves which mature into deep green foliage. The plant prefers moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil and performs well in tropical climates. Its small white flowers appear directly on the trunk, followed by dark-colored, sweet and juicy fruits, and it can produce multiple harvests in a year with proper care.
