Panniyur-1 world’s first hybrid pepper was produced at Panniyur Pepper Research Station in Kerala over three decades ago. It is having long Spikes with large berries, early bearing, performs well in open. Suitable to all pepper growing areas, except under heavy shade. Planting Method

Site Selection

Thrives in subtropical/tropical climates. Prefers full sun and well-drained fertile soil.

Planting

Dig pits 1–1.5 ft deep. Mix soil with Vermicompost. Maintain 2–3 meters spacing between plants.

Watering:

Regular intervals; keep soil moist but not waterlogged
