Gangabondam Coconut is a popular dwarf coconut variety mainly cultivated in tropical regions of India. It is well known for its high-quality tender coconut water, which is sweet, refreshing, and rich in nutrients. Because of its pleasant taste and good water quantity, it is widely used for drinking purposes. This coconut tree grows to a shorter height compared to tall coconut varieties, making it easier to manage and harvest. Gangabondam coconut palms usually start bearing fruits within 3–4 years after planting, which helps farmers get an early return on cultivation. The coconuts are generally round to medium-sized and contain a large amount of tender coconut water. The tree can produce a good number of nuts per year when grown under proper soil, irrigation, and climatic conditions.
