Andaman Arecanut is a popular variety of arecanut (betel nut) known for its good growth, high yield, and quality nuts. It is commonly cultivated in tropical regions with warm and humid climates. This variety grows into a tall and slender palm and usually starts bearing nuts within 4–5 years after planting. Under proper cultivation and care, the tree can produce a good quantity of arecanuts every year. The nuts produced are medium-sized with good quality, making them suitable for processing and commercial use. Because of its consistent yield and adaptability to tropical climatic conditions, Andaman Arecanut is widely grown by farmers. Dig pits 1–1.5 ft deep. Mix soil with Vermicompost. Maintain 2–3 meters spacing between plants.
