Alur Mango is a lesser-known traditional mango variety found in parts of South India. It is appreciated locally for its balanced flavor and natural growth. Alur mangoes are generally medium-sized with a round to slightly oval shape. The outer skin is green when raw and turns yellow or light orange when ripe. The pulp inside is juicy, moderately fibrous, and has a pleasant natural aroma.

Planting Method

Site Selection

Thrives in subtropical/tropical climates. Prefers full sun and well-drained fertile soil.

Planting

Dig pits 1–1.5 ft deep. Mix soil with Vermicompost. Maintain 2–3 meters spacing between plants.
