commonly known as naadan manga, is a traditional, naturally grown mango variety found in homesteads across Kerala. It is known for its unique blend of sweetness and tanginess, making it highly valued in both raw and ripe forms. These mangoes are usually medium to small in size with a round or slightly oval shape. The skin remains green when unripe and gradually turns yellow or golden when ripe. The flesh inside is juicy and may be fibrous or semi-fibrous, with a strong, natural mango aroma.

Planting Method

Site Selection

Thrives in subtropical/tropical climates. Prefers full sun and well-drained fertile soil.

Planting

Dig pits 1–1.5 ft deep. Mix soil with Vermicompost. Maintain 2–3 meters spacing between plants.
