Abiu is a tropical fruit tree native to the Amazon region of South America. It is well known for its sweet, creamy pulp and attractive yellow fruits. The fruit is popular in many tropical countries because of its pleasant flavor and nutritional value. The tree grows medium to large in size with glossy green leaves and thrives in warm, humid climates. The fruits are round to oval-shaped and turn bright yellow when ripe. Inside, the fruit contains soft, translucent white pulp that is very sweet and jelly-like in texture, often compared to caramel or vanilla custard in taste. Abiu fruits are usually eaten fresh and can also be used in desserts, juices, and smoothies. The fruit is rich in vitamins, fiber, and antioxidants, which makes it a healthy tropical fruit. Because of its delicious taste, attractive appearance, and adaptability to tropical climates, Abiu is widely grown in home gardens, orchards, and tropical fruit farms.
