Bluecrop Blueberry Fruit

₹550.00

Bluecrop Blueberry is one of the most widely planted and commercially successful Northern Highbush blueberry varieties. Known for its high productivity, consistent performance, and excellent fruit quality, Bluecrop belongs to the section Cyanococcus within the genus Vaccinium, the same group that includes cranberries, bilberries, and huckleberries. It is considered a standard mid-season variety in commercial blueberry production. Bluecrop plants are upright, hardy, and moderately vigorous, typically growing between 1.2 to 1.8 meters (4 to 6 feet) in height. The plant produces medium to large, light blue berries with a balanced sweet flavor and firm texture. The berries ripen in mid-season and are suitable for fresh consumption, freezing, processing, and long-distance shipping due to their good shelf life. This variety is especially valued for its adaptability to different soil conditions, strong disease resistance, and reliable yields. In spring, Bluecrop produces white, bell-shaped flowers, and in autumn, the foliage turns bright red, adding ornamental appeal to landscapes and gardens. Like other highbush blueberries, it thrives in acidic, well-drained soil and requires sufficient winter chilling for optimal fruit production. Botanical Classification: Clade: Asterids Order: Ericales Family: Ericaceae Genus: Vaccinium Section: Vaccinium sect. Cyanococcus Cultivar: Bluecrop (Northern Highbush Blueberry) country: United States
